At SICUREZZA 2021, PASO presents its new all-in-one voice evacuation product range; this range is characterised by easy wall-mounted installation and at the same time is compact, all-in-one and small in size.
Entirely manufactured in Italy at the factory in Lainate, PAW Mini has a very small and compact cabinet with advanced technology. The main difference with the rest of the PAW series is the diversity of uses: offices, shops, restaurants, health clubs or any public environment that does not require massive power rating.
PAW Mini can manage 1 or 2 alarm zones through local controls, remote microphone stations connected with simple CAT5 cable and controlled inputs and have two different audio power outputs (100 W and 250 W). They are all equipped with a certified control unit in compliance with EN 54-16:2008 and EN 54-4 standards.
Essential features, in common with their predecessors, are the 4.3-inch backlit touch screen display for selecting alert and evacuation messages, easy setting of levels, adjustments and fault display. The front panel features an integrated controlled handheld microphone, a button for operating the emergency status and a reset button; controlled inputs, AUX input for external audio sources, configurable relay outputs are also available, and the possibility of connecting paging or emergency microphone stations remains valid. In models equipped with two amplifiers, the second can be selected as a backup. This is a good combination of quality and price, which is often a discriminating factor when designing small environments.
For larger environments with more complex requirements, PASO presents the PAW51K-VES Series all-in-one voice evacuation systems: with 1000 W rated power, management of 4 or 6 alarm zones respectively, each equipped with a dedicated amplifier, remote microphone stations and controlled inputs to be connected to a fire alarm control panel. Up to six systems can be linked together, with a maximum coverage of 36 areas.
The 1000 W PMG1000-V modular class-D amplifiers are the result of constant technological research. They are built using modern GaN (gallium nitride) technology, which provides excellent performance in terms of efficiency, space saving and precision. This innovative choice guarantees extreme speed and far better performance than comparable silicon components. It is also possible to have a transformer-less 100 volt output line with just one amplifier (not two bridged amplifiers, as is the case with silicon devices).
PMG1000-V amplifiers are designed in accordance with EN54-16 and, consequently, are suitable for use in voice evacuation systems; they allow the correct operation test and the verification of the integrity of the loudspeaker line; they are equipped with a double output circuit with separate control (A and B), for the creation of redundant line systems; if a short circuit is detected in one of the two outputs, this line is automatically disconnected to allow the regular operation of the other. Connected directly to the PASO CR8506-V controller via shielded CAT5 cable, they enable the creation of high power areas. There are four amplifiers inside the device, each capable of delivering 250 W, and it is possible to make parallel connections in five different power configurations using special selectors (4 x 250 W / 500 W + 250 W + 250 W / 750 W + 250 W / 500 W + 500 W / 1000 W). The possibility of backup operation (internal or external) completes the offer.
