Sicurezza 2023 proposal on private security

The world of private security is also evolving rapidly, both from a regulatory and an operational point of view. Today, professionals are called upon to develop new professional skills and meet new challenges, but above all, new resources are needed. We discussed this with AISS and ANIVP.

Undoubtedly, the new requirements of clients, technological advancement, digitisation of services and the increasing complexity of threats, combined with demographic changes, have significantly transformed the demand for private security services. In fact, the demand is for increasingly cross-segment and responsible professionals.

It is not enough to update the tools, we need to rethink regulations and training courses, so as to guarantee the professionalism of the service and, at the same time, protect the operators, who are now increasingly liable.

An urgency to which SICUREZZA, also through the contribution of the major industry associations, can give voice and space.

As Franco Cecconi, President of AISS, the Italian Subsidiary Security Association told us, “Our Association has been representing Italian private security companies for 15 years. SICUREZZA is an important appointment for us, and this year it will give us the opportunity to present two new standards: UNI 1611129 and UNI 1611254. In recent years, the event has been an opportunity to talk about Italian private security with politicians, technicians and entrepreneurs, but also to meet young people looking for career paths within the private security sector and to offer prospects to a market that is still regulated by royal decrees on which we continue to seek talks with the legislator on a daily basis. Enabling Italian private security to compete in the future has always been our goal, which is why more and more companies are joining our Association. At SICUREZZA we will bring our proposals regarding the professional recognition of the role of the bodyguard and the novelties of our CCNL being renewed A.N.I.V.P., the National Association of Private Security Institutes, has also chosen SICUREZZA to take stock of the sector and its opportunities: it will hold its national assembly during the trade fair and will take the opportunity to present its new JobForVigiles portal.

.

"SICUREZZA is an event that acts as an amplifier, an identity space that allows us to express the security culture," Marco Stratta, Secretary General of A.N.I.V.P., told us. - "Today, in fact, it is not sufficient to 'be there'. One must also represent one's spirit to the outside world, and SICUREZZA is one of the most important events where Private Security can do this, speaking to the world about itself in all its facets. Precisely for this reason, A.N.I.V.P brings to SICUREZZA 2023 one of its creations, namely the first Italian portal dedicated to matching job supply and demand in the security field www.jobforvigiles.it. Job for Vigiles is a service designed to meet the needs of a sector that is constantly looking for personnel. The portal is for all those interested in working in the world of security and facility, and for security companies looking for specific job profiles. Last but not least, the association's annual assembly will take place this year during SICUREZZA."
