Two leading companies in the security sector, DAB Sistemi Integrati and Crisma Security, shared with us their vision on the evolution of security. While DAB Sistemi Integrati focuses on the integration of cutting-edge technologies for public entities and private companies with complex security needs, Crisma Security focuses on advanced tools for the security of large-scale infrastructures, including airports, motorways and railways.
“Over the last fifty years,” explains Maddalena Nocivelli, Chairperson of DAB Sistemi Integrati , “the concept of security and, more generally, the security market have undergone a significant evolution. From the physical protection of goods and people, we have moved to an integrated approach that includes the security of data and digital innovation. Digitalisation offers numerous advantages: on one hand, it enables the interconnection of all the systems in use and comprehensive monitoring of the entire infrastructure; on the other, it allows for data analysis, which is crucial for the functional management of large public and private structures in terms of sustainability, supervision, and maintenance of the systems themselves. We have made the transition from supplying and installing physical devices to integrating them into an advanced, integrated software platform that offers comprehensive security”.
Crisma Security focuses instead on the security of critical infrastructures, with specific solutions for large structures such as airports, motorways, railways and electrical industries. "Our devices - explains Barbara Farulli, Sole Director of Crisma Security - include advanced technologies such as radar and intelligent cameras, designed to protect large areas and macro-perimeters: they can cover large areas with a limited number of sensors, improve anomaly detection and enable predictive analytics, using the collected data to identify behaviour patterns and potential risks. This is a step beyond simple surveillance and allows customers to perform historical analyses to improve security”.
And technological advances have also significantly influenced the profile of the professionals who manage security within companies and large structures: “We have witnessed – continues Barbara Farulli – the birth of a new generation of security managers who are now technology experts, often with an engineering background, who know what they want, are able to understand innovation and seek reliable solutions that ensure high performances. Furthermore, today it is no longer enough to simply talk about security, but this must increasingly be an integral part of a broader concept of asset sustainability: increasingly intelligent structures that aim to be green by requiring systems that go beyond simple physical protection”.
“In a new concept of building,” stresses Maddalena Nocivelli, “the term green goes beyond energy efficiency and embraces a broader concept that includes sustainability, and the health and well-being of the people who live and work in these spaces. In this scenario, security plays a crucial role: through the implementation of integrated and technologically advanced solutions, it is possible to create intelligent buildings, smart buildings. Technologies such as motion sensors, surveillance cameras and access control systems not only improve physical security, but also allow us to collect valuable data for managing and maintaining facilities. In this way, security is not only a priority, but becomes an added value that helps to create more sustainable and efficient environments”.
In this context, an exhibition such as SICUREZZA 2025 is an important opportunity for companies in the sector: “For DAB Sistemi Integrati - confirms Maddalena Nocivelli - it is an opportunity to present the most innovative solutions and meet customers, partners and potential collaborators. In addition to establishing new strategic collaborations, it is a chance to receive valuable feedback from industry professionals. Furthermore, the exhibition will allow us to grasp the new market trends and explore growth opportunities in the context of integrated security”.
"SICUREZZA - adds Barbara Farulli - is the main event in the sector in Italy, a unique moment for interacting with other experts and end customers. We have noted that the previous meetings were already an opportunity for dialogue between companies and security managers from various sectors, who often share experiences and solutions here. The aim is to attract an even wider audience, composed not only of partners but also of professionals able to fully evaluate the technological innovations offered”.
SICUREZZA 2025 will be held from 19 to 21 November at Fiera Milano. Follow us to stay updated on all the news.
