The features of the Cyber Arena are outlined, which is the internal initiative of SICUREZZA 2021, created in collaboration with Fiera Milano Media - Business International, where the main protagonists in the sector (experts, national security representatives, academics, and companies) will analyse trends, share best practices and present the latest innovations in the field of Cybersecurity.

The Cyber Arena, in Hall 5, will be an open meeting place for visitors, exhibitors and buyers, who will be able to keep up to date with the latest news and approach new business in a context specifically dedicated to the hottest topics in the sector, with a rich range of content and an exhibition section that will be developed around the Arena itself.

The training schedule, which will include meetings for the entire duration of the event, will alternate between Expert Talks, in-depth sessions lasting one hour, involving speakers of national importance on legislative issues, new technological scenarios, internal and external threats, and Tips and Tricks, streamlined training sessions lasting half an hour, which will explore specific technical topics and provide useful tips and tricks for security players.

Thanks to the contribution of experts in the field and representatives from national cyber security, at the event it will be possible to have a broad and up-to-date view of a subject that today, more than ever, impacts the liability of producers and installers and that, at the same time, represents an important opportunity for new business.

In fact, the last year has been characterized by a significant trend for growth in cyber threats. According to the Observatory at the Politecnico di Milano, in 2020, 40% of large companies experienced cyber attack increases compared to the previous year. The economic impact of the pandemic has also forced Italian business to meet increased security challenges with reduced budgets: 19% have decreased their cybersecurity investments (compared to 2% in 2019) and only 40% have increased them (it was 51% the year before). Despite this, in the last 12 months in Italy the market has reached a value of 1.37 billion euros, up 4% on the previous year, although in 2019 the sector had ratcheted up +11% compared to 2018.

This is therefore a sector in great ferment, on which attention and energy are focused, as demonstrated by the creation by the Italian Government of a newly created National Agency for Cybersecurity, charged with exercising the functions of National Authority on cybersecurity, to protect national interests and the resilience of services and the essential functions of the State from cyber threats and to develop national prevention, monitoring, detection and mitigation capabilities, to deal with cybersecurity incidents and cyber attacks. This is an important innovation, which will certainly be the subject of discussion and in-depth study in the Cyber Security Talks scheduled during the fair.
