Security culture: the contribution of trade associations
image
Important partners for SICUREZZA, trade associations are a reference point for a wide-ranging insight into the market, and an active reference for updating regulations and competences.

Trade associations choose SICUREZZA to discuss the need to update regulations, propose new solutions for representation associations and training courses, to ensure that operators are protected and the quality of services in each Security & Fire sector is guaranteed.

The round table promoted by ANIE SICUREZZA in cooperation with Assiv, entitled “Protecting the territory: new paradigms, between technological integration and convergence with the human factor”, will be central to the event. The focus of the meeting will be the presentation of the “Video surveillance of the territory and public environments” guide, intended to promote a culture of security through technical expertise and an updated regulatory framework.

This will be followed by a number of events held to answer questions from the various professional figures in the sector, starting with the Security Manager figure, a complex profession that has developed with the changing needs of the sector and that now needs greater recognition through regulations and dedicated association proposals.

For instance, CONFEDERSICUREZZA will propose a “Focus Lombardia”, in which it will talk about the virtuous case of Lombardy (800 million yearly turnover from the security market), and will introduce AISeM, the Italian Security Manager Association, a response to the representative needs of an evolving and increasingly transversal sector such as private security.

Whereas AIPSA will present ad hoc solutions for defining the pillars of corporate security: everything from travel security, hybrid threats, cybersecurity, risk management, artificial intelligence to the protection of the luxury and fashion world.

Having roles and competences defined is also a requirement for those involved in private security and auxiliary security, taking into account increasingly customised and integrated services and tools. For this reason, in recent years AISS has taken steps to draft two standards for the professional recognition of auxiliary security services, UNI 11926:2023 and UNI 11925:2023, which will be presented during the event.

ANIVP will also present the sector, by holding its national assembly during the trade fair, and will also present the JobForVigiles platform. the first Italian portal to match supply and demand in the security field.

The schedule of events dedicated to private security will be concluded by the round table organised by ASSIV, entitled “Città InSicurezza”, which will reflect on the value of collaboration between private security and public security to help solve urban and social problems, such as violence against women.

Diversified needs and new tools are also transforming the work of installers and designers who are required to update their skills, but also to have clear and firm regulatory references.

The topic is central for AIPS , which, with the meeting “Professionalism and qualification of the security installer: the evolution in the path to certification with the draft UNI Standard and current situation”, will offer an update on the professional certification procedure for security operators, which started in 2021. AIPS will investigate the state of advancement of the Draft Standard UNI1610032, which is intended to integrate and complete the existing CEI technical standard on electronic security and alarm systems.

The CEI committee will complete the picture with two days dedicated to practical answers related to “Intrusion and Robbery Alarm Systems”; the CEI “Alarm Systems” course will provide the basics for the design and implementation of these systems, by explaining their elements and the technical-regulatory framework to ensure an optimal level of security. Finally, in cooperation with Televes, CEI will present a new volume to make it easier to access technical and regulatory information on electronic communication equipment technology.

With the technological transition, the development of fire-fighting systems is also constantly evolving. In this context, a new approach is needed in legislation, in the construction of equipment, in the installation of equipment, as well as in the management of works. This will be discussed at the conference promoted by ANIE SICUREZZA and UMAN,New Approach to Fire Safety: from Design to the management of works”.

To complete the picture, with a broader focus on public administrations, ANCILAB seminars will address the energy, technology and IT security development and innovation needs of public organisations. The first meeting, entitled “The Role of Municipalities in Renewable Energy Communities” will focus on the energy transition process of territories. The meeting will provide updates on legislation and useful information identifying resources and opportunities, with a focus on funding available for small municipalities through the NRP. The second seminar, entitled “Strategies and Tools for Cybersecurity in Local Authorities”, scheduled for the same day, addresses the ever increasing problem of cybersecurity and cyber attacks on local institutions. The seminar will provide local authorities with knowledge and instruments to understand cybersecurity risks and the main actions to be taken to prevent or mitigate them.
