New Trends in Security: How to defend yourself against cyber attacks?

15-17 November 2023 @ SICUREZZA - Fiera Milano Rho

Cyber attacks have now become a daily occurrence and concerns about this issue remain among the priorities of security (physical and digital), so much so that the PNRR (Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan) provides for major investments in cybersecurity protections and expertise, as well as funds for research.

According to the WEF Global CyberSecurity Outlook 2023, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (20%), the increased adoption of cloud technology (19%) and advances in user identity and access management (15%) are the most influential factors on cyber risk management choices and strategies over the next two years.

43% of business leaders consider it likely that, in the next two years, a cyber attack will actually affect their company, making it essential to protect against and monitor possible attacks in real time.

All major studies and observers confirm the rise of cyber attacks, which has been further accelerated by the very rapid digitalisation technology development trend that has exposed our country, companies and all citizens to very challenging cyber risks. Yet, while security managers, CISOs and top management now communicate more directly and more frequently, they continue to speak different languages.

Security is an ecosystem and the culture of security is created also through the implementation of training initiatives aimed, on the one hand, at raising end-user awareness and, on the other hand, at creating highly professional specialised skills to enhance the value of our young talents and to increase, extend or evolve skills by reskilling certain types of senior professionals.

The 2023 edition of Fiera Sicurezza will once again feature the Cyber Security Arena, designed and developed by Business International - Fiera Milano with the aim of providing a far-reaching vision of the future scenarios of Cyber Security in companies. Each day, the Arena will host Cyber Security Talks, in-depth meetings with industry experts who will provide their insight into the main industry trends, and Cyber Security Tips, short training sessions with tips and advice that can be immediately implemented.
